In my first year of residency, I worked in psychiatric facilities as a physician’s assistant. I started working at a mental health center as soon as I graduated. In order to shift the focus of my employment, I began working in a mental health facility. I have become a specialist after working in both outpatient and inpatient practices. While working in the hospital, I obtained vital knowledge in the acute sector and in the geriatric ward. Since 2015, I have been in charge of the newly established psychiatric day hospital in Jonava. On Doctor’s Day, I received an award for my professionalism, commitment and implementation of new ideas. In 2016, I was awarded by the Mayor of Jonava for my significant contribution to the development of the activities and my initiative in the development of psychiatric day hospital work.<\/p>\n

Treatment should be holistic: medical treatment should be followed by psychological, psychotherapeutic, kinesiotherapeutic, occupational and relaxation activities. I have always been guided by the principle that we treat the person, not the diagnosis.<\/p>\n

In my view, a person’s mental health is a system made up of their family, friends, employment, social surroundings, and personal traits, not only the existence or lack of a problem.<\/p>\n

I regularly engage in conferences and numerous seminars, pay close attention to my patients, and am interested in the state of psychiatry today. I frequently experiment with novel medications and don’t hesitate to start therapeutic modifications or unconventional approaches.<\/p>\n

Since 2015 – Head of Hospital Day under Jonava Out-Patient Centre<\/p>\n
