Men who suffer from serious crises, anxiety, mental disorders, addictions, suicidal thoughts, or even attempted suicide, make up my patient base. Patients who suffer from either acute or persistent psychotic conditions, such schizophrenia. Despite having worked mostly with men, I have a great deal of empathy and professionalism when working with women.

The most enriching experience for me, as a psychiatrist, is my work in the acute mental disorders treatment and reception departments (Marios Hospital). I have been working here for five years. During my residency, I got to know the work of a psychiatrist in various medical care institutions. I worked in the Department of Treatment of Acute Mental Disorders at Klaipėda Hospital as well as in the Department of Acute Conditions and the Emergency Department in the Psychiatric Clinic of Šiauliai Hospital. Currently, I am further deepening my professional knowledge in post-diploma studies in cognitive and behavioural psychotherapy. I studied at the Palanga Day Hospital of the Institute of Behavioural Medicine to combine the scientific methods of psychiatry with psychotherapeutic treatment. I worked at the Centre for Addiction Diseases in Kaunas.

Not only at work but also in my free time, I pay a lot of attention to men’s mental health and education. I am a member and facilitator of the men’s psychological growth platform “Gentys”. I moderate regular sessions for a small group of men of various ages and experiences and help them deal with problems, learn to manage crises, achieve their goals, and grow emotionally.

Furthermore, I am a member of the Association of Young Psychiatrists. I am interested in the current affairs of psychiatric science and try to actively apply the innovations presented at international conferences and scientific articles in my daily work. I presented my graduation residency thesis “Pathological technology use and mental health” at the WPA (World Psychiatric Association) congress in Lisbon. I took part in a visit prepared by Scottish researchers about problems and solutions in mental health organizations.
